The first few days were pretty low key. We left Sunday morning and flew to Orlando. Beckett was so excited.
Once we got there, we found that Southwest instead of gate checking our stroller had sent it to baggage claim. Normally not a huge deal except we weren't supposed to go to baggage claim since we were staying at a Disney resort. You take a bus from the airport to the hotel and they pick up all your luggage and deliver it to your room. After a lot of miscommunication and waiting around, we finally got a stroller over an hour after we landed. When we got to our hotel, it was getting late so we went to Downtown Disney to grab a bite to eat and then headed back and went to bed.
Tagg had to work all day Monday so the kids and I enjoyed hanging out at the resort. It was a little cold and rainy for part of the day so spent a lot of time in the hotel room too. We did manage to spend some time at the playground before it started raining.
Tuesday, the weather cleared up enough for us to get some swimming in. Beckett was in Heaven! That little boy loves water. Griff on the other hand wasn't too sure about it.
Tuesday evening we went to Downtown Disney again. Tagg and Beckett had fun making a car to race at the Lego store. I enjoyed the ghiradelli chocolate ice cream. It was incredible!
Wednesday we went to Blizzard Beach which is one of the Disney water parks. Beckett had so much fun going down the slides. He was a little nervous the first few times. I don't think he realized he would end up in a pool of water at the end of the slide but once he got used to it he didn't want to stop.
The car ride was Beckett's favorite ride. He rode it 3 times.
The teacups were NOT Griffin's favorite ride. He was trying to hard to be brave, but the spinning was just too much!
Seriously, this little boy melts my heart. It was so fun to see how excited he got to see the cars in real life.

After Tagg's conference was over, we switched resorts and stayed at the Art of Animation. They have a whole section of the resort that is Cars themed. They have the whole town of Radiator Springs and all of the cars were there. Beckett was so excited/nervous to "meet" all of them.
| He had the best reaction to Mater! So excited. |
At the resort they also had a pool that was like the Cozy Cone motel.
Thursday we spent the whole day at Magic Kingdom. It was so fun to see how excited Beckett got. Disney really is a magical place.
I love this picture of Tagg. He looks so enthralled and excited about the ride. The car ride was Beckett's favorite ride. He rode it 3 times.

We got to meet Mickey Mouse while we were there too. Beckett loves Mickey so much but when he saw him in real life, he wasn't too sure about it. He gave Mickey a hug, but that was about it. Beckett wanted to stick pretty close to Tagg the whole time we were in the room with Mickey. Mickey did the hot dog dance and asked Beckett what the password is to the Clubhouse in hopes of getting him to open up, but Beckett was still not too sure about the whole thing.
And here's the best family shot we got with Mickey:
Friday we went to Hollywood Studios. It was pretty fun. We didn't realize it was mostly shows, but we still had a good time.
Beckett loved riding the bus to the parks. He would always look out the window and sing "The Wheels on the Bus." It was one of my favorite memories of our trip.
I was glad we fast-passed the Toy Story ride because it was really the only ride for kids there and the wait was over 2 hours long.
The best show we went to was the car stunt show. It was so cool to learn the tricks of the trade and see all the things they do to make car chases look real. Beckett LOVED it. He was super excited because Lightning McQueen even made an appearance!
And, the best part of Hollywood studios was of course meeting Lightning and Mater!Seriously, this little boy melts my heart. It was so fun to see how excited he got to see the cars in real life.
Again, Beckett was not into meeting the characters. He about lost it when we met Jake.
We had a great trip! Everyone left exhausted and it took us a week to recover from the trip, but I guess that proves we had a good time. I hope it's a trip that Beckett will still remember when he gets older.
